The Computer Aided Medical Procedures (CAMP) Laboratory is looking for enthusiastic interns on a rolling basis. The interns have the opportunities to work on exciting projects developing novel interventional robotic imaging techniques. In particular, interns focus on researching and implementing methods for interventional ultrasound imaging, nuclear imaging and augmented reality for medical applications.
The CAMP laboratory aims at developing the next generation solutions for computer assisted interventions. The complexity of surgical environments requires us to study, model and monitor surgical workflow enabling the development of novel patient and process specific imaging and visualization methods. Due to the requirements of flexibility and reliability we work on novel robotized multi-modal imaging solutions and to satisfy the challenging usability requirements we focus on data fusion and its interactive representation within augmented reality environments. Located within the Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics (LCSR) at the Johns Hopkins University, the environment brings together computer scientists, mechanical engineers, physicians and robotics experts.
Who: We are looking for a recent computing science graduate (BSc or MSc) or similar who has a background in programming with C++, basic knowledge in computer vision, and an interest in medical imaging.
Where: Computer Aided Medical Procedures (CAMP) Laboratory, Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics (LCSR), Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
Duration: 6-8 months (rolling application)
Application: To apply, please send a CV, cover letter, transcript from your last degree, and a recommendation letter to Mathias Unberath ([email protected]).
